Chambers and I have made good progress on Dust Jacket over the last week and there is a chance that we'll finish the first draft this weekend; but no promises because if the weather is good then I know that Chambers will be at the beach ... yeah, I thought the same!
Our collaboration has developed in subtle ways and whereas we thought that we would own and develop a specific character/characters, we're actually working in all of the voices together. That said, Chambers is driving the plot more than I am; I think that is probably to be expected because his Zac series is faster-paced than say my The Map Stick or The Awakening or Brave ... the results so far exceed our expectations; clearly we hope that they will exceed yours too. Hoping also to post the draft of the cover by the end of the weekend to give you a treat.
Working this way has effectively halted progress on other projects but after this weekend, I'll be opening something new and I know that Chambers wants to open the fifth case file of the second Zac series.
