Going back to St Tropez tomorrow where Chambers and I will be finalising the first complete draft of The Fanshawe Scroll; aiming to publish that next weekend.

Chambers has just made available in The Carter Seagrove Book Boutique, The Red Kimono, the 4th case file from series 1 of Zac Tremble Investigates.

The first 'Zac' to be available in print from the new POD supplier will be the series one twelve case file compendium 'Jury's Out'; imminent date to be announced.

Have just ordered the 10 copies of Dust Jacket for Chambers and I to sign; it seemed fitting that the first paperback to be produced through the new supplier was the first story which we collaborated on, before we created Carter Seagrove.

So, those ten copies are on their way and once we have them, we'll sign them and the top ten bidders will get a copy; bids accepted up to midnight on the 30th September 2014. We'll pay shipping anywhere. The proceeds from the top five bids will go to charity and the proceeds from the other five bids will go to our illustration fund.

Have not starved as feared; found lovely Indian, Thai, Spanish and Italian restaurants which understood 'no meat and no fish and no dairy products' ...

Weather has been perfect; clear, blue skies and 23 degrees; changeable at the moment but still dry.

Not quite finished The Fanshawe Scroll but being on the island and visiting Steephill Cove and a couple of other places, which have begun to feed into the story, have been the real plusses of this visit as far as the writing is concerned. Just chillin' out on the beach has been just the tonic!

Had a great time in London; now in Ventnor (arrived yesterday afternoon, safe and sound). The real challenge began last night... to find somewhere to have dinner that had at least one main dish which we could eat ... we found a tapas bar in town, so actually we weren't too badly off. There are some Thai restaurants in the neighbouring towns and the art centre in Newport has a vegan buffet at lunchtime ... plan to test these places out over the course of the week.

Today is all about Steephill Cove and completing the story.

Chambers and I are on our way to Steephill Cove near Ventnor; currently in London, waiting for the hotel which we had booked to find us another room in a sister hotel following a 'technical' issue with our rooms.

Aiming to arrive on the Isle of Wight on Sunday 7th September for a few days of R&R and the completion of The Fanshawe Scroll. I had to agree with Chambers in the end, that finishing the story whilst sitting on the beach at the cove, which is the setting for the story, had to be the most appropriate (and romantic) way to end the project.

Thanks to mobile devices and apps, we are able to access all of our systems and still maintain the forum for the book circle reading of Juxtaposition ... weirdly, we are staying not too far from the apartment which Emile rented in which we are introduced to him and Kristie at the beginning of the story ...

Chambers and I, having removed all of our paperback titles from Amazon, have been looking for a new Print-On-Demand supplier and we think we have found one with whom we feel we can work successfully. That means, slowly but surely, paperback editions of selected stories will start to appear in the Book Boutique.

As a kind of celebration of the decision to go INDIE retail; we are arranging for 10 copies of Dust Jacket to be printed, which Chambers and I will then sign. Those printed copies will be silent auctioned; five in aid of charity and five in aid of our fund to pay for illustrations.
